Denver City Lax is building a sports-based youth development program that will offer year round activities. Lacrosse is the centerpiece. City Lax is on the field each spring offering instruction, team participation and competition in league play with the Colorado youth lacrosse associations. Summer, fall and winter activities will include academic assistance, mentoring, travel and community service.
League play – the spring lacrosse season is the main focal point for the Denver City Lax program. Practices are typically three days per week with competitive games on Saturdays in Colorado youth lacrosse leagues..
Tournament play – A year-end Jamboree features over 250 teams at various age and competitive levels. Denver City Lax will also assist program members to tryout for Colorado Select tournament teams that provide opportunity for competitive play and travel in the summer.
Mentoring and tutoring continue throughout the spring.

Camps – scholarships to various summer lacrosse camps.
Fall and Winter
Instructional clinics – conducted at Denver Public Schools and other metro area schools and recreation centers introducing the game of lacrosse to new communities and recruiting players to become part of Denver City Lax.
After school practices and tutoring – local high school and college players offer instruction and homework guidance to established Denver City Lax players.
Mentoring – join an adult for a day or evening, either at work or in the community, and shadow students at high schools and colleges.
